How to apply for a loan

To apply for a loan on the Singa app, follow these steps:

  1. Fill in your personal details by photographing your original NIN card and completing other personal information such as your current address.
  2. Provide an emergency contact number of someone who knows you and is willing to be contacted.
  3. Enter your bank account details under your name for loan disbursement.
  4. Return to the app’s homepage and click “Apply now” according to the limit and tenor displayed.
  5. Read the terms and conditions thoroughly, then sign the loan agreement. After signing, click “Submit” and wait for the verification process until your loan is disbursed.

How to get loan approval

The loan verification process on the Singa app uses a system operated by the Singa credit analysis team, which assesses the user's credit score and submitted documents.

Users whose loan applications are rejected can reapply 7 days after the rejection date. The reapplication date can be viewed on the Singa app.

What's the Loan Limit

The loan limit on the Singa app currently ranges from ₦ 11,000 to ₦ 120,000.

Disbursement Time

The maximum disbursement time for a loan on the Singa app is 2x24 hours from the approval time.

Increasing Loan Limit

Users can maintain or improve their credit score by avoiding late payments on the Singa app or other loan apps, which helps qualify for higher loan limits. Maintain good credibility to enjoy larger limits.

Failed Disbursement

Failed disbursements may occur due to:

  • Errors in the provided bank account details
  • The bank account is registered under another person’s name

Disbursement Exceeding 2x24 Hours

If the app status shows “still awaiting disbursement” after 2×24 hours, contact Singa Customer Service at cs@singa.ng for further verification.

Active Loan but Funds Not Received

If the app status shows the loan is active or disbursed but you haven’t received the funds:

  1. Check your bank transaction history from the application date until 3 days after disbursement.
  2. If the funds are still missing, send a screenshot of your transaction history to cs@singa.ng (include your name, registered phone number, and date of birth for verification).

Changing Bank Account Details

To update or change bank account details on the Singa app:

  1. Log in to the Singa app
  2. Tap “Account”
  3. Tap “My Profile”
  4. Select “Bank Info”
  5. Re-enter the new bank account number
  6. Submit and complete

For security reasons, allow up to 1×24 hours for verification.

Deleting Your Account

To delete your Singa app account:

  1. Tap “Account”
  2. Select “Settings”
  3. Tap “Delete user account”
  4. Confirm the deletion

If you have any outstanding loan orders, you will not be able to delete your account.

Login

Log in with your registered phone number and password / OTP.

App Login

To access or log in to the Singa app account, users are required to enter the phone number that is registered in the Singa app and enter the password that was created when registering the account for the first time.

If you lose access to or encounter issues with the registered phone number, we recommend that you reactivate the number at your service provider’s outlet.

For data security reasons, we do not provide a feature to change the phone number.

Password

When users first register or create an account on the Singa app, they will be asked to enter the phone number they will use for the app. After that, users will receive an OTP code consisting of 4 digits, sent via SMS to the registered phone number. Once the OTP is entered, users will be asked to create a password consisting of a combination of numbers and letters, with 6-12 characters.

Users can change their password by clicking “Forgot password” on the Singa app.

Forgot Password

If users forget their Singa app password, they can click on ‘Forgot password’ located at the bottom right corner below the password field. Then, users can click ‘Send OTP’ to receive the OTP via SMS or a phone call. Users can enter the OTP code received. After entering the OTP code, users will be prompted to create a new password consisting of a combination of numbers and letters, with 6-12 characters.

App Errors

Regarding the error issue in the Singa app, users can follow these steps:

  1. Clear the cache of the Singa app in the app settings on the user’s device or phone.
  2. Update the Singa app to the latest version through Google Play.
  3. Switch devices or mobile phones to another device owned by the user.

If, after following the above steps, the user still experiences the same issue, please send a screenshot of the Singa app issue to the email cs@singa.ng so that the issue can be promptly addressed.

NIN Photo

  • Ensure the ID card is not blurry and the appearance is clear.
  • Make sure the ID card is not damaged, not broken, torn, with faded or missing photos/letters/colors.
  • Ensure that the ID card is personal and not someone else’s or edited.
  • Ensure you are in a room with good lighting and a stable internet connection.
  • Make sure the app version is the latest and compatible with the device being used.
  • Also, ensure that camera permission is granted for the Singa app on your phone by following these steps:
  1. On your device, open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Apps.
  3. Tap the Singa app.
  4. If you can’t find it, tap See all apps, then select the app.
  5. Tap Permissions.

    To change the permission settings, tap the setting, then choose Allow or Don’t Allow.

OTP Code

For the OTP code on the Singa app, it can currently only be sent via SMS, WhatsApp message, or voice call to the registered phone number in the app.
Users are advised not to share the OTP code with anyone to avoid theft or misuse of data by unauthorized individuals.
